Teachers and Staff
Teachers
Our professional teaching staff is composed of experienced educators who know how to structure and maintain the high standards of CPSC. Our teachers recognize the importance of a thorough knowledge of each child's individual temperament and personality in order to optimally support each child's development. Recognition of each child's effort and achievements, as well as plenty of affection and encouragement, will be part of your child's experience at CPSC.
Each classroom is run by a Head Teacher working with a team of Teachers to provide a supportive, healthy environment. Most Head Teachers have a college degree. All have at least 24 college semester units in Child Development and years of experience. Many of CPSC's Teachers also have university degrees and at least 12 college units in Child Development. Coming from many different countries and reflecting many different social groups, this multicultural group of professionals provides a remarkably rich and diverse social environment for its children and families. The different cultures of both staff and families are incorporated into the program, reflecting the best of the diversity of the Bay Area in the program.
Administrative Staff
While the teachers working directly with children are by far the most important element in the quality of a child development program, the administrative staff who support them can significantly enhance their working conditions and providing the support they need to do their best. CPSC's administrative team is includes an Assistant Director, a Nurse, a Bookkeeper, and an Office Manager. Our Assistant Director and Nurse have training in early childhood development and help maintain the highest program quality. Our Bookkeeper and the Office Manager ensure a smooth operation.
