Healthy Habits

Washing Hands and Brushing Teeth

CPSC encourages our children to adopt healthy habits as early as possible. The children learn to incorporate washing their hands and brushing their teeth into the daily classroom routine. Infants experience hand washing each time their diaper is changed and gum cleaning with a soft cloth after they eat or drink. Our toddlers learn to wash their own hands after all diaper changes and before meals, with assistance from the teachers as needed. By the time children enter the Junior Preschool, they are already used to washing and drying their own hands with soap and water, and can brush their teeth after lunch each day.

Active Lifestyle

Our classrooms are spacious and filled with many interesting and engaging activities for young minds to explore. Each day, new activities, puzzles, games, books, interactive and manipulative tools are set out offering the children plenty of choice and encouragement to engage their minds.

Each age group has a large playground for active play. Playgrounds include grass, sand, rubber matted and concrete areas to allow for involvement with different kinds of activities and sensory experiences. Push carts, bikes, balls, slides and climbing structures as well as other physical challenges are offered. Children have frequent opportunities to play outside in the fresh air and get the vigorous exercise they need to lead healthy lives.
