Annual Meeting 2011
Every year CPSC holds an Annual Meeting to present significant elements of the past year to its members, the parents and to hold the election for the vacant seats on the CPSC Board of Directors. This year parents gathered to vote for 3 parents and 1 community member to join the Board and to listen to a series of Annual Reports delivered by current Board Members. They heard about program improvements, finances, partnerships with parents, health innovations, facility plans, the results of the Program Quality Parent Survey, and CPSC’s strategic planning. It was great to be able to report that despite the challenges of the recession, we had a great year, breaking even financially, and making significant strides in the areas of health programs and partnerships with parents to provide the best early childhood education possible.
But as always, the most popular agenda item was a performance called “Going Green” given by the Senior Preschool Children. They were all dressed up in their green costumes and entered the room dancing to a lively tune. Then they performed two musical numbers about recycling and the cycles in nature. The performance was delightful and parents were, as always, thrilled.
Clearly delighted, parents welcomed their children into the Annual Meeting for their performance
The Children were adorable in their wonderfully imaginative green costumes
